I'm making Mozilla Firebird my default browser. The tab management is pretty nice. Still need to play with it more to get full understanding. There are extensions that make it even more powerful. For example a tab-scroll extension allows you to right-click on any tab and display all other tabs so you can easily switch to one. As more tabs are added they choose to resize all tabs rather than support scrolling. I've seen other browsers that will eventually create multiple rows of tabs, don't know of firebird will do that.
Bert gave me a quick tour of Firebird. He gave me a good tip. He, like myself, has lots of bookmarks with folders and subfolders. He showed me how he setup Firebird (and IE) so that the bookmark/favorite folders show up on the Bookmarks toolbar (Links toolbar for IE). In firebird you can click any folder in the bookmarks toolbar and it will display all links from which you can select, or you can choose "Open in Tabs". I can't think of an easier favorites/tab/preloaded group integration than that. You can also set your Home Page to always open "current tabs". Did I mention how fast firebird loads pages!
Overall very impressive so far.
