I don't know if political weblogs like Howard Dean's or his guest weblog at Larry Lessig's blog will ever realize their full potential. The potential lies in the feedback loop provided by comments. But I mean, the first post at Larry Lessig's has 193 comments! Who has time to read all this? And invariable, with virtually any comment a politician makes, there will always be opposition that degrades the comment thread to namecalling and vitriol. I really don't want to wade through the discussion of whether Natalie Maines is fat or not, thank you. Can't people stay on subject? For an interesting analysis of weblogs in the Howard Dean compagain read this.
