Longhorn is scary? Nice interview at CNET of Lindows founder Michael Robertson. Don't know everything that this statement is based on: Xbox is in my view a predecessor to Longhorn or whatever the code name is for the next generation of their operating system, where they get to decide what software you run. And that's a very dangerous world for consumers. It means Microsoft will control what software you run, and you can rest assured Microsoft will put up a toll gate at every opportunity to charge you the maximum amount But with DRM, OS Activation, there are trends that makes Bill Gates description of Longhorn as scary, and Michael's assessment above plausable 11:51:41 PM    comment []

"RSS should be readable" a Red Hearing? Why RSS is (or should be) as irrelevant as HTML I agree with Greg. Current RSS format disagreements are between developers. The majority of users don't care and will never see a source line of RSS. As a matter of fact, if you're having to look at RSS source, it is a statement about the dearth of quality tools to deal with RSS.  I'm not an HTML developer.  If I find myself editing HTML it's because FrontPage, or some other HTML WYSIWYG editor hasn't done it's job and I'm having to clean it up.
