Found a great link here explaining how Technorati works

Hiveware provides an interesting web form that will generate javascript you can use on your website to hide a mailto: link but have it function just the same. Web page scraping is probably the most common source of my spam.  I waited too long to remove my email address from my personal site.

This is a nice little JavaScript page that can test XML-RPC calls.

I am not at all a Linux user or active supporter (yet).  I'm not an opponent either, and I suppose I'm an inactive supporter in that I cheer their efforts and the competition that results. So I don't mind keeping myself informed about the Linux community and any interesting stories that pass my way.  An interview with the founder of Lindows at News.com is an example.
I found one comment Robertson made particularly interesting:

"Xbox is in my view a predecessor to Longhorn or whatever the code name is for the next generation of their operating system, where they get to decide what software you run. And that's a very dangerous world for consumers. It means Microsoft will control what software you run, and you can rest assured Microsoft will put up a toll gate at every opportunity to charge you the maximum amount. And furthermore, they'll be able to determine what you can do with your own content. Can you encode your CDs? Can you watch your DVDs? That will all be determined by the software companies or the hardware companies involved. I'd rather have it be determined by the end user. "

We'll have to see if his description is at all close but it sure gives us something to be concerned about.
