Canyon Call — Privacy Statement

Canyon Call is a private community app for Sunset Canyon residents. We collect only what's needed to run the app.

What we collect

• Account info — name, username, email, and optionally phone, and mailing address, used to verify membership and identify you to neighbors in discussions, groups, and posts.
• Property records — your claimed property address, used to confirm your residency in Sunset Canyon.
• Content you post — discussions, replies, group posts/comments, help requests, and any photos you attach.
• Push notification token — used only to deliver notifications you've opted into, such as replies to discussions you're following.
• Flags/reports and feedback — if you report content or submit feedback, we store what you submit along with your user ID.

How it's used and shared

We don't sell your data or share it outside the community app. Admins can see member profiles and moderate reported content; other members see only your name/username and section you live in and anything you choose to post. Data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) and protected by access rules limiting reads and writes to your own data or your role.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete Account. This removes your login credentials, profile (name, contact info, address), avatar photo, any photos you've posted in Discussions, Groups, or the Help Board, your engagement history, and any pending requests or reports you filed. Discussion, group, and help post text you wrote stays visible so conversations aren't broken — it's attributed to "(Deleted)" instead of your name, the same way most community forums handle account deletion — but any photo attached to it is removed along with your account. Messages you sent to other members and feedback you've submitted are also retained.
